    Thank you for the info. I think a lot of people expect quick results. They see people who are in shape, and might not realize that there's a good chance those fit folks, have been working out for years. So with that in mind, my approach is slow and steady three to four days a week. I don't want to be a power lifter and I am not training for the Olympics. I've been losing weight and I love listening to people like yourself for the reaffirming ideas and methods to get into and maintain my personal physical fitness. I don't compete with anyone except myself. I changed the way I eat, so I have lost weight and gained muscle. And I love my weekly regimen!

    Why the 90 degree angle? Surely it would be better to use a full range of motion for your back like any other muscle and go more than the arbitrary 90 degrees

      He's using bro science. The idea is, using a 90 degree angle and retracting to the hips gives you a better contraction on the lats with less use of the arms. Think of a reverse grip barbell row for example. The reality is, it's personal preference and comes down to what feels best for yourself. Both will stimulate the lats and back regardless.

    Your comment of not letting one bad workout discourage you too much, I think is a good one. Like you said, for us lifetime lifters, it's just one of thousands of workouts we'll have, so in the grand scheme of things we can recover easily from it if we stay consistent.
